The Downtown Poetry Slam is back!
For Anyone who loves to hear, read or perform poetry. The 2008 Phoenix Slam team has officially completed National Poetry Slam competition, finishing 27th out of 80 teams from across the US, Canada and Europe. On top of that, the Phoenix team competed on the finals stage for group pieces at Nationals, finishing 8th overall. It has been a great year for Phoenix Slam poetry, and we are excited to keep that going into the Fall and Winter. Everyone is invited to join us where it all began! Fair Trade Café

DAVID CHORLTON will be taking over the venue ON A DIFFERENT NIGHT. How fortunate for all of us! David is great!! Starting September 24, the 4TH WEDNESDAY will be our new night at the Puppet Theater. Pre- register your passion at 4pm and enjoy continual rotating performances by entertainers and an exhibition of costumes and floats entered in the parade’s competition. The PAPA Talent Showcase follows the parade with live music, staged performances and after parties at various downtown venues.
